Maintenance Schedule - Gas & Diesel Units

 

 

Maintenance Schedule for GAS engine machines.  
*These required maintenance procedures should be performed at the frequency stated on the table. 
  They should also be included as part of any seasonal tune-up. A maintenance log is suggested for proper care.
  Perform these maintenance procedures more frequently under extremely dusty, dirty conditions. 

Frequency  Maintenance Required
Daily or Before Starting Engine 

Fill Fuel Tank.
Check Oil Level.
Check air cleaner for dirty, loose, or damaged parts.
Check air intake and cooling areas, clean as necessary.
WARNING NEVER LEAVE MACHINERY UNATTENDED WHILE RUNNING.  KEEP ALL OBJECTS FREE AND CLEAR FROM EXHAUST SYSTEM OTHERWISE FIRE OR INJURY MAY RESULT.

Every 25 Hours Service precleaner element.
Every 100 Hours

Replace air cleaner element.
Change oil & air filer. (More frequently under severe conditions).
Remove cooling shrouds and clean cooling areas.
Check oil cooler fins, clean as necessary (if equipped).

Every 200 Hours

Check spark plug condition and gap.
Change oil filter.
Replace fuel filter (cabureted engines).
Grease all bearings (if applicable).
Replace heavy-duty air cleaner element and check inner element.
